| A large gathering MGCC well-wishers assembled at the home of
Mike and Jan to show thanks for their friendship and tireless work
for the MGCC, and bid them farewell as they prepare for their
departure to their new venture - a B and B in the UK countryside. The warm and friendly atmosphere at their home we know will be offered to their guests at the the new venture and many have already indicated they will be staying staying with them. Past Captain of the A Register Robin Page gave the farewell speech in which he spoke about great contribution the Gethings have made as Captains of the A Register and MGCC. The moving farewell prompted a tear or two from (Jan and a few others). Mike responded with his usual witty banter and offered accommodation to everyone as long as we didn't all show up at once. - Thanks Mike and Jan we will miss you. - |
